Privacy notice

Updated 10 October 2026. This notice describes Betty’s private personal installation and its use of connected Google accounts.

Information and purpose

Depending on the account’s granted permissions, Betty can access email, calendars, documents and files, contacts, and tasks. It uses this information to answer its owner’s questions, search personal records, prepare responses, and perform requested personal-assistant tasks. Sending email or changing calendars requires the corresponding account permission and task authorization.

Storage and processing

The assistant runs on its owner’s computer. Selected information, conversation records, search indexes, and diagnostic records may be stored locally. Google authorization credentials are stored by the local credential system. The public information website does not receive these credentials or provide access to those records.

Relevant content may be sent to the configured AI services to carry out the owner’s tasks. Requested messages and calendar actions are processed by the relevant communication services. Diagnostic reports may go to the owner’s configured technical reporting channels. This is not an undertaking that all processing remains on the computer.

Control and retention

The owner controls connected accounts and can revoke Betty’s Google access in Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future authorized retrieval; it does not automatically erase previously stored local records, indexes, logs, or backups. The owner can request removal of those records separately. Retention depends on the local component and its configuration.

Google user data is used for the owner’s personal-assistant functions, not sold or used for advertising. Data is shared only as needed for the requested functions and configured processing described above.

This website

These static pages have no sign-in form or analytics scripts. The hosting provider processes normal connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website.
